ENGLISH UNIVERSITY STUDENT IN CARRÍCOLA SUMMER SCHOOL

KIRA IS COMING TO CARRÍCOLA

Hello! My name is Kira and I'm studying Spanish and Italian at University. I have a passion for languages and I love teaching, and I also love to get involved in anything and everything! I'm friendly and approachable and I can't wait to come to the Open Roads Summer Camp and meet you all!

I have always been passionate about languages and teaching and I am currently studying Spanish and Italian at Durham University. After graduating I would like to study for a PGCE and become a Primary school teacher, either in England or abroad. I have plenty of experience working with and teaching children, from paid roles to informal tutoring schemes at school. These roles have given me leadership skills and as I have often been working under the direction of another, I have also gained teamwork skills and the ability to help carry out set activities while adapting to changing circumstances which is necessary when working with children. I have a wide range of interests and hobbies, meaning that I would love to get involved with all aspects of the summer school, and I have been on exchanges to Spain, France and India whilst at school, as well as working in Finland for 3 months as an Au Pair in 2013, so I have experience living with a family abroad and I loved it!
